Terms of use

What this site is
An informational site that explains the Foundation's work and presents the four platforms of the ecosystem. It provides no online services, accepts no applications and processes no payments. When something has to be done, this site points to the platform where it is done.
The Foundation aims to keep the information correct and current, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from error. Anything that matters should be checked at source: for a company's level, that is the Seal's public verification.
The Seal, the code, and what may not be done with them
The Sello Empresa Indígena mark is being filed for registration with Chile's National Institute of Industrial Property as a certification mark, in its one-colour and full-colour versions. While that registration is pending, its use is governed by the Seal's Regulation, which the Foundation administers: it belongs only to companies with a current certification. No company without certification may use the mark or any graphic element that could be confused with it, and the Regulation requires any other insignia to be clearly distinguishable.
The Unique Verification Code identifies a certified company and is informational: it does not replace the certification and is not part of the mark. Anyone can check a code on the Seal's site, and that check is the authoritative source. Displaying a code that does not belong to the company showing it is improper use of the Seal and has consequences under the revocation procedure.
The texts, images and documents on this site belong to the Foundation or to whoever is credited. They may be quoted and linked with attribution. They may not be used in a way that suggests certification, endorsement or membership that does not exist.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Chilean law and any dispute is submitted to the courts of Temuco, La Araucanía Region.
The Foundation may amend these terms and publishes the version in force on this page. Using the site after an amendment means accepting it.
